Chris Wondolowski debuted his new Earthquakes colored Nike Hypervenoms Sunday. The sharp looking new cleats unfortunately will not be available to the general public but only a one off from last season¡¯s MLS Golden Boot winner.

The new look could not keep San Jose from losing to the rival Los Angeles Galaxy, practically eliminating the Earthquakes from playoff contention.

But Wondolowski salvaged the season by ensuring continental play in Northern California come next March.  The forward scored the game winner in the Quakes 1-0 win over Heredia to finish on Top of Group 5 in the CONCACAF Champions League and earn a spot in next year¡¯s quarterfinals.  The MLS side will face Mexico¡¯s Toluca in the elimination round.

The Hypervenom silo was created by and for the world's best strikers with finishing above all else in mind. The cleat's light, firm and flexible upper allows goalscorers to find space where there isn't any and make the most of it.

Players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and Neymar all gave Nike feedback for its construction. Clearly, it's not half bad for one of MLS's best either.

As a result, another MLS team marches on in international play.
