adidas kicked-off their official 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil? campaign today with the release of the Samba Collection.  The Samba Collection brings a new bright and exciting colorways to the adidas line that speaks to the beauty, style, vibrancy and exuberance of the Brazilian game.



Joga Bonito or ¡®play beautifully¡¯ sums up the Brazilian game.  That style has propelled Brazil to an unprecedented 5-World Cup titles and is why there are more Brazilian players bringing a creative approach to domestic leagues around the globe.



¡°For Samba Collection, we took our inspiration from Brazil,¡± adidas Global Senior Product Manager Antoine Hadjimanolis said of the range at a release news conference.  ¡°The pack is colourful, energetic and full of character ¨C just like Brazil! From the beaches of Bahia to the Carnival of Rio, our boots will use tones and palettes that you¡¯ve never seen before on a football boot.¡±

The Samba Collection ¡®All in or Nothing¡¯ approach looks to highlight this passion for the sport in the 4 adidas cleat silos ¨C the adizero? f50, predator?, nitrocharge? and 11pro ¨C with a new vibrant colorways the distinct marker of the line while the latest cleat technology gives players who pull on the cleats the extra edge.


The cleats will be easy to spot from the bright colorways but also from the primetime players wearing them in Brazil.  The list of movers-shakers-and-scorers includes Leo Messi, Oscar, Dani Alves, Mesut Ozil, Philipp Lahm, Hernanes, Frank Lampard, Fernando Torres, Lucas Moura, Gareth Bale, and Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Samba Collection line will start to appear in games on November 9th and will be available to purchase on November 16.

The cleat¡¯s most distinguishing visual feature is the ENERGYSLING?.  The elastic support around the forefoot provides support in cutting and precision turning with the ball.

The nitrocharge will come in lime green with Dani Alves and Ezequiel Lavezzi the faces of the cleat.

adizero? f50 ¨C Fly or Die



Speed kills and that is one factor that makes the adizero? f50 beautiful.  From start to finish, the cleat and its design is all about speed.  The nuts and bolts of the cleat are the SPEEDTRAXION and SPEEDFOIL technologies.

The player pulling on the pink colorway of the Samba predator has to have a lethal touch with each play on the ball and adidas¡¯ five ¡®Lethal Zones¡¯ make this possible for the likes of Oscar, Mesut Ozil and Fernando Torres.  These players utilize their first touch, an instinct for the cleats sweet spot that helps create the ability to dribble players or pass around players and of course the final power zone to kill off their prey.

adidas 11pro - Make the Play or Make Way



The classic and most traditional of the adidas line-up the 11pro is for the player who goes out and gets the job done.  The cleat uses premium Taurus leather for superb touch and feel on the ball and will have a new outsole and stud placement for the best grip and traction.  Philipp Lahm, Hernanes and Frank Lampard are the featured players wearing the 11pro.  The class and style of this cleat is exemplified in the royal purple colorway.
