Earlier this morning, adidas unleashed their first ever selection of the Primeknit?boot on the US market, and they sold out within minutes! Featuring a fully knitted upper, the Primeknit is?a kind of mysterious marvel, something that was only increased by the lack of boots offered in the US through the initial phase of the Primeknit’s introduction.

This version, which comes in a Black/White colorway, is not quite your conventional looking boot yet the fans have spoken and the desire for a knit upper is at a definite high. Priced at $299.99, the power of limited edition again holds true and the fact they sold out within a few minutes at that price is just incredible.

Prior to the World Cup,?adidas first introduced us to?the hyper-advanced?adidas Samba Primeknit. That version was only available in the UK, leaving fans in the US craving the opportunity to experience the technology.?Weighing in at?5.8ounces, this limited edition lightweight boot is set to be the first football boot to have an upper that is?knitted from heel-to-toe, providing a completely new second-skin fit that retains the strength of a conventional boot.?Primeknit employs just one yarn, knitting the entire upper ¨C wrapping the shoe around the foot. Engineered stiffness controls stretch and support. And while traditional shoes are constructed from several pieces, overlay and underlay, the Primeknit reduces the amount of materials to a single knitted layer.

So, with?these boots sold?out already, getting your hands on a pair is not going to be easy. There are two routes to take with this one, the first is to search for them on eBay. You are likely to find them on there but the prices are sure to be heavily inflated, and in my opinion not worth the money.

The second, which I’d recommend most, is to keep an eye on this search page on Soccer.com. With so many sold so quickly, there is always a chance that pairs will be re-listed?over the next few days.
