With fall and winter quickly approaching, Nike has released the aptly named Hi-Vis collection, a vibrant new set of colorways for its four top silos.



Summer is unfortunately coming to an end. To help cope with this tragic loss as well as to help stave off the darkness, Nike has released one of the brightest colorway sets ever. While we have become used to the ¡®Swoosh¡¯ releasing a High-Vis matchball for the various domestic leagues it sponsors, this is the first time that the ball will be accompanied by equally bright cleats.



Using the same idea behind the memorable Nike Elite collection that was released in conjunction with the 2010 World Cup, this latest batch of colorways is all about getting players noticed. As winter draws closer and as the sun shines with increasing irregularity, visibility plays a crucial part in games.



Nike was aiming to release a set of colorways that would increase the visibility and noticeably of those wearing the new Hi-Vis cleats, and after seeing the new footwear, it appears that the company has accomplished just that.



Phil McCartney, Vice President of Nike Soccer Footwear, said about the new collection, ¡°In a game that¡¯s more congested and faster than ever the small percentages are becoming more important. If a player can get that flash of color in their periphery, and see a teammate make a run, that could be the small difference between timing the pass perfectly or not taking advantage - that¡¯s the sort of moment that can change the course of a game at the top level.¡±



Four new colorways have been rolled out as part of the Nike Hi-Vis collection, including a new one for the Tiempo, Mercurial, Hypervenom, and CTR respectively. The Mercurial Vapor IX and the Hypervenom Phantom both feature the same color palette of Electro Purple and Volt, while the Tiempo and CTR both come in a similar Volt, Green Glow, and Black colorway.
