Gareth Bale¡¯s meteoric rise to the top of the game has seen him mentioned in the same breaths as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, an impressive enough feat by itself. But having just turned 24 today, we have hopefully just seen glimpses of his incredible talent.

But with that said, it appears that it would be as safe a gamble as they come, due to his age, versatility, athleticism, and marketing prowess.
