Barely touching the scales at 170g (UK size 3), the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX FG Kids Football Boot delivers a lightweight design achieved courtesy of the strong yet soft contoured teijin upper which beautifully wraps around the upper. Taking inspiration from the dimpled surface of a golf ball and featuring debossed microgrooves, this approach has been applied to quite simply reduce air resistance and enhance ball control.

Across the midsole and the contoured, perforated sockliner provides low-profile cushioning whilst helping to reduce stud pressure for enhanced performance amongst young players. Continuing across the boot and the attention to detail has been incorporated in every aspect of this Mercurial Vapor. Inspired by track spikes, the forefoot grip zone is a subtle addition which provides vital toe-off traction for that all-important injection of speed.

Engineered to make light work of firm natural surfaces, a configuration of moulded bladed studs across the forefoot and heel delivers explosive acceleration and optimises multi-directional grip.

Born out of a classic and high visibility look given to the original 2010 model, this latest design re-unities colourful tones of metallic mach purple and total orange in spectacular fashion. Bringing a more sedate touch of black to the Nike branding and lining, the whole look is one of pure show but with the features to match.
