This limited edition release from the German brand is the first ever knitted football boot, in another showing of adidas¡¯ tradition of pushing the boundaries of innovation in soccer. These special cleat will have a high-profile ambassador thanks to Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez, who was chosen to headline this revolutionary technology.

 Markus Baumann, Senior VP for Global Football at adidas, said: primeknit is a further demonstration of our commitment to driving relentless innovation in football and is designed to allow for a bespoke fit for each player, making performance more intuitive and responsive than ever before. primeknit is a technology that is right at the heart of adidas innovation and we're excited about introducing this development into football.

 The new adidas Samba primeknit offers great flexibility and comfort thanks to a one-piece knitted upper, but maintaining a level of protection matching that of conventional boots. This is achieved through a high precision coating applied to each yarn composing the upper as to guarantee water resistance even all conditions.

 Every adidas product is developed with the player in mind and in particular, the needs of the player. By producing the world's first knitted football boot we have provided a brand new solution to the search for higher levels of comfort and flexibility Baumann added.

The adidas Samba primeknit will be available for retail in mid-March, but our sources tell us it won¡¯t be available in the US. Meanwhile, pay close attention to Luis Suarez, as the Liverpool striker will look to regain his goal scoring form by switching to these colorful and innovative cleats very soon!
