The worst kept secret of the spring is that Nike has a new soccer cleat in the works that is to be released soon. Now the chatter has been confirmed with Nike setting May 27 as the launch date.

The new cleat is for a new breed of attacking player. And in recent months, Soccer Confidential has spotted these blackout proto-types on players like Neymar, Danny Welbeck, Gaston Ramirez, Mateo Kovacic, and Raul Jimenez.

This is the first time in four years that Nike has launched a new silo. The new cleat will join line-up that includes the Mercurial, CTR360 and Tiempo.
