Nike do not often shake things up as drastically as introducing a whole new silo to the world, but the rare times they do they tend to get it right and so far they seem to have done just that with the Hypervenom.

The Hypervenom was released with a focus on agility with Neymar lined up as the face of the new silo. According to Phil McCartney, VP Nike Football Footwear; ¡°Traditionally a new boot will focus on an evolution of the fit, the upper material or the sole plate and stud configuration. The Hypervenom features new solutions for all of these areas.¡±



Joining the launch black and orange colorway that has dominated the pitches for recent international fixtures, Nike has released a comparatively more subtle black and green colorway.

The new Hypervenom¡¯s upper is made out of NikeSkin, a material made of lightweight, soft, mesh bound with a thin polyurethane film that featured on the Nike FC247 indoor collection. This new material provides an almost barefoot-like touch of the ball in a one-piece design. Finished off with Nike All Conditions Control technology (ACC), the new upper offers a great grip on the ball in all weather conditions.



The chassis of the outsole features compressed nylon for a high-response plate that helps deliver strength while remaining l ight. The re-worked stud configuration, including a split toe plate, offers two platforms to have independent stability depending on the area of the foot on which the weight of our body is placed, for a quicker release on every move.
